Window Washing Cincinnati

Every spring in Cincinnati the same thing happens. The pollen comes down heavy, coats everything in sight, and by the time it stops your windows look like someone frosted them from the outside. It happens fast and it happens to every home and business in the city. Hyde Park, Blue Ash, Anderson Township, Indian Hill, West Chester. Nobody is exempt. And while pollen season is the most dramatic example, the truth is that Cincinnati windows deal with some level of dirt and buildup every single month of the year. Regular window washing is what keeps it from turning into a much bigger problem down the road.

We do window washing for homes and businesses throughout Greater Cincinnati. Whether you need a one time wash before a big event, a seasonal cleaning after pollen season, or a recurring service that keeps your glass looking sharp year round, we customize the service around what you actually need.

Our Window Washing Process

We don't use one single method for every job because not every job is the same. We use the right approach for each specific situation.

For exterior window washing we use a reverse osmosis filtration system paired with a water fed pole. Reverse osmosis filters the water down to a pure state by removing the minerals and dissolved solids that cause water spots and streaks when water dries on glass. When purified water dries it leaves nothing behind because there is nothing in it to leave. The water fed pole lets us deliver that purified water directly to the glass, the frames, and the sills and agitate the surface with a soft brush to loosen and remove dirt. The result is spot free, streak free glass without the need for squeegee work on the exterior in most cases.

For interior window washing and certain exterior situations we use a traditional mop and squeegee method. A professional window cleaning mop applies the cleaning solution evenly across the glass surface and lifts the dirt. A squeegee removes the solution cleanly in a controlled pass that leaves the glass dry and streak free when done correctly. This method gives us precise control on interior surfaces where we're working carefully around your walls, floors, and furnishings.

Both methods get the same result. Completely clean glass with no streaks, no spots, and no residue.

Customizing Your Window Washing Service

Every customer has different needs and we build the service around yours. Some customers want exterior only. The outside glass is what bothers them most and they handle the inside themselves. Others want the full interior and exterior treatment. Some want screens cleaned and tracks done as part of the job. Others just want the glass.

We talk through what you want before we start and we price the job based on what's actually being done. You don't pay for services you don't need and you don't get a watered down job because you only asked for the basics.

Why Cincinnati's Climate Makes Regular Window Washing Important

Cincinnati sits in a part of the country that gets heavy pollen, high humidity, hard winters, and a full four seasons of weather that all affect your windows differently. Spring pollen is the most visible culprit but it's not the only one.

Summer humidity promotes mold and organic growth on glass, especially on north facing windows and in shaded areas. Homes in Mariemont and Indian Hill with mature tree coverage see this more than most. Fall brings leaves, sap, and debris that sticks to wet glass and breaks down into organic staining if left too long. Winter brings freeze thaw cycles, road salt spray from nearby streets, and mineral deposits from ice melt products used around the property.

Each season leaves something behind on your glass. Regular window washing keeps that buildup from compounding season after season into something that takes a lot more work to fix.

Exterior Window Washing and Your Frames and Sills

One thing that sets our window washing service apart is that we don't just clean the glass. When we use the water fed pole system on the exterior we clean the frames and sills at the same time. Dirt, algae, and oxidation build up on window frames just like they do on the glass. Cleaning the glass and leaving dirty frames around it never looks fully done. The reverse osmosis fed pole lets us flush the frames and sills with purified water and agitate the surface while we're already working on the glass. It adds very little time to the job and makes a significant difference in the overall result.

How Long Does Window Washing Take

For most residential properties in Cincinnati window washing takes between one and three hours depending on the size of the home and the number of windows. A smaller home in Oakley or Kenwood with a standard number of windows might be done in an hour to an hour and a half. A larger home in Montgomery or Indian Hill with more windows, higher stories, and more surface area will naturally take longer.

Commercial properties vary based on building size and the scope of the job. We give you a clear time estimate before we start so you know what to expect.

How Often Should You Have Your Windows Washed

For most Cincinnati homes twice a year is a solid baseline. Once after pollen season wraps up in late spring and once in the fall before winter sets in. Homes with heavy tree coverage, irrigation systems, or in higher traffic areas benefit from more frequent service. Commercial properties in high visibility locations like storefronts along Rookwood Commons or Madison Road often schedule monthly washing to keep the glass consistently clean.

If you're not sure what schedule makes sense for your property we're happy to take a look and give you an honest recommendation based on what we actually see.
